Thanks to Allah, the Almighty, for endowing its leader,
President Mubarak, with health and wellbeing, and for
returning to the home nation in peace, praying Allah to
keep his health and long live the president, because
whatever I talked of love, esteem and proud of this great
man, I will never be able to acknowledge his right. Allah
is the all knowing that I am not hypocrite and don>t look
for favor, but I write a testimony to history from all my
heart because I met this great man in several occasions
and every time I meet him I become more appreciating
and esteeming of him.
I will not paraphrase, but I also would like to
congratulate the President and Mr. Gamal Mubarak for
the recovery of their father, because I am certain of the
president>s image in the eyes of his sons, and what his
sons are for him. They are an integrated family thanks to
the care of President Mubarak and the Benevolent Lady,
Suzan Mubarak, may Allah keep her in good health.
The ordinary general meeting of FIFPro-Division Africa
was held in the FIFPro main office in the Netherlands,
Hofddorp. I was very happy with the progress and
development of this emerging division and its
development since it was incorporated in Barcelona
through the ordinary general meeting. This division
began with five African countries; namely, Egypt, Algeria,
Nigeria, Cameroon and South Africa.
Due to the suspension of Nigeria and Algeria, Division
Africa has come to include in its executive board three
countries: Egypt, Cameroon and South Africa. Cote
D>voire and DRC will enter the next general assembly
in Malaysia next November, so the Division Africa will
include five countries again. There will eb countries as
observers like Morocco, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Ghana. I
think that members in this division will increase with time,
in spite of the challenges of the Professional Footballers>
Associations in Africa because of the lack of professional
culture in most officials of sports in the African countries.
The Ahly vs Zamalek match held in the 27th week of
the Egyptian premier league is one of the matches of
which we, and all Egyptian football fans, shall be proud.
This match proved that Egypt is the leader of football in
Africa and the Arab Nation, and that the potentials of
sports in Egypt and football in Particular are the best in
Africa by all means. However, I don>t praise the match in
terms of performance only, but in terms of the behavior
and civil show of the fans of the great two clubs of Ahly
and Zamalek.
The result was heaven justice. The two teams divided
the points and goals of the match, even though there are
some views arguing that Zamalek was better than Ahly in
this match. We can say that this view is supported by the
lead of Zamalek during the events of the match of Al Ahly
from the beginning. Zamalek scored the first goal and al
ahly drew, then the Zamalek scored the second goal and
Al Ahly drew and Zamalek scored the third goal, but al
Ahly drew in the time when many of al ahly fans thought
that the match came to an end, and that Zamalek will win
in the era of the enthusiast Hossam Hassan. However,
Emad Met>eb and Mohamed Barakat had another view.
Mete>b exploited the mistake of Ahmed Ghanem, but
did not translate it to goal until Barakat captuerd the ball
and managed to put all his experience in it over these
long years to score a goal that was difficult to score by
another one than Barakat.
